Melody of Ice

Kori transforms into his spirit form, clouded under a mist /fuck, cant leave my ice here, but i can.../ icy mist forms around the three, getting thicker and thicker. Minori then bends the wind to spread it around the area, keeping the mist thick as they both transform into foxes again "Get on.."

Oh, but we only just met-" Xeb mocks, befire hearing twigs snapping and voices are heard in the distance.
She glances back "..."
"Right."

once shes on Kori, he darts off to the south, along with Minori

Xen holds tight, leaning her head into the wind passing by them.

After some time, the two decide to stop around the edge of the mountains, the desert in from the trees "ugh...i can feel the heat of the desert from here" Kori complains. "Luckly its only night time.."

Out in a distance from the group, a woman, clad in black tight leather chest plate, a black combat skirt to match, shrouded with a hooded cloak as well. She sits in a tree awaiting the group to come by, in the dead of night. "...hm...two foxes...and a female.." she mutters to herself softly

Xen does not respond. The heat is rapidly becoming more intense, but not yet enough to bother her Tal'he blood the same way it does her icey companion.

A rock skips across the dusty ground, creating a tiny stream of waves as it drops into the water nearby the large tree. Following this, the sound of heavy boots crunching through gravel and twigs. The Hunter sighs, pushing back ebony hair and feeling it run between the alcoves of their fingers, before glancing back to their companion. They'd run far, but there was no keeping up with the fox spirit with whom their prey was apparently in cahoots.

"They've been here, I can sense them..."
The companion shifts with discomfort, like someone whose shoe had recently trapped a stone. He seems to go out of his way not to make eye contact.

"But the spirits... there are traces of them everwhere. They were here for much longer; the entire place is stained with it.
My my, what have you led us to, Eightfive..?" continues the first.

Kori comes to the sudden realization that him nor Minori can start a fire "Ok...dispite living on our own, we've never had to light a fire for a light source...could you help us a bit?" Kori asks politely to the female.

Phencyr calls a bird to her quitely, and sends off a note to her employer that she has found the woman in question and gets out of the tree quietly, and sneaks up to a nearby tree to eavesdrop on any conversation

Xen sighs, suddenly feeling like an adult escorting two children. She picks up a sharp rock, advancing towards a small, dead weed.

The woman drags her talon down the stone, scraping the rock causing sparks to fly from it and set the plant alight.
"Any stick will do. Try to find a long one."

The spark nearly blinds Phencyr, she turns against the tree in pain clutching her eyes making sure to keep quiet, however she hears one of the spirits coming toward her and she puts on her glasses and jumps up into a tree and away from their site /dammit...i need my eyes.../ she sits below a tree quite a ways away rubbing on her eyes

Minori notices a girl behind a tree and slowly approaches her "u-um...excuse me?" Phencyr, shocked, turns to the girl, wiping away her eyes so she can see the girl "y-yes?"

Moments later, Minori comes back to the camp, pulling on the females hand "i found a person!" she says cheerfully while Phencyr stands there shyly

Xen's right hand moves quickly to rest poised at her right hip, left clenched into a fist. She fixes her gaze on the new potential threat.

Phencyr covers her eyes like the sun is blinding her "oh i don't mean harm! I was just traveling when i stumbled across the little lady here" she raises her concern of the female quickly

Xen notices the woman seems troubled by the sun; she lowers her gurard slightly, but her right hand is still readied above her knife.

"You followed us. You don't think I'm a fool, do you..?"

Phencyr then puts some sunglasses on, even though its the middle of the night. "Yes it might seem like that, but i was just coming from the canyon villiage of the Meh'Kanx. Seemed like you were going that way..." she says shyly still, still kinda feared of the woman

"Look, you're scaring her...shouldn't you relax a little bit?" Kori mentions, relaxing in the trees

Xen turns her head to Kori, not moving her body an inch. Her eyes remain fixed on the lady until the last moment.

"And I'm guessing your vote is to suggest she accompany us?"

Kori shrugs to the question and looks down to the girl "So what can you do?" he asks, she then looks up at him "i'm skilled in potions and my daggers..."

Minori plays around with the girl's belt, pulling off a potion of sleepyness and drinks it carelessly "wait no!" Minori passes out slightly after "don't worry! she's only sleeping....i make em so i can sleep...considering i have to sleep during the day"

Barely has she finished speaking before Xen has set upon her, gripping her tightly by the fabric around her neck with a clawed hand. The female is pulled an inch or two towards her, fixing her gaze with a rancorous aggression.

"My companion wants you here. I do not. You will stay away from the girl. You will stay away from me. You will not touch our food and you will not draw your weapons unless we allow it. You will agree to my terms or I will break your neck. Yes?"

Without flinching she gazes her eyes to the floor "I-I understand, I tend to find my own food anyways...and about the girl, i can't help she goes near me..."

She nods to the array of bottles arpund the girl's side.
"I'm talking about the poisons you're likely carrying."

Xen taks a couple of steps backward, and turns away.

Phencyr sighs and looks a bit down "w-well they're for my own personal protection, lots of monsters out there of course"

Xen's metallic tail swishes and clinks in the darkness, her arms folded.

Phencyr hurries up into a tree, sitting on a branch large enough to hold her, resting on it without saying anything more "d'awh~ shes shy~~" chimes in Minori

Xen grunts to herself, and goes to add to tne fire.

Minori goes up to Xen and hands her the sticks she had found, and runs back off into the forest

Tending the fire, Xen ponders the strangeness of the spirits and how she does still not fully understand who - or what - they are. Strange travelling companions indeed, but they were not the first unusual people Xen had spent her time with; and so the fact did little to faze her.

Time passes by and the sun rises slowly. Coming out from the trees is the newest member of the odd group, with sunglasses on that covers her entire eyes

Kori stretches and reverts back into his human form. Phencyr, not ever seeing this gasps out loudly "W-What d-d-d-did u just do!!" "uh....i transformed? oh...right you dont know that im a spirit.."
